I can't believe Christian is 3 years old! It REALLY is amazing how fast time has gone...didn't I just have him? Didn't he just learn how to walk?
Christian is my sweet boy, in every sense of the word. He is remarkably sensitive, aware of the world around him, and is such a loving little man. He is an amazing big brother to Lily. He loves Spiderman. When we say our prayers at night to "Baby Jesus, God, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus Our Father", he asks for God to take care of the boys and girls' whose houses fell down (he's talking about the tragedy in Haiti). His favorite songs are Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Lie in Our Graves by Dave Matthews Band. He loves avocados, hummus, and chicken nuggets. He lives for 5 Guys Hamburgers. He is totally potty trained, even wearing his big boy undies at night. His imagination is hilarious. He asks me to wear lipstick, so when I kiss him, he can "see it". He plays soccer, loves watching football, and has picked the Saints to win the Superbowl.
Even though he is chronologically 3 years old, he's only been hearing for 1.5 years. Yet, he's speaking and listening one full year above age level. My heart skips a beat several times a week when he wows me with his beautiful articulation. He is just an absolute joy. He is 3. He is still my baby, but such a big boy now. A big boy with a Big Heart!

Happy Birthday to Christian, and Congratulations to you for doing right by him :). It's too bad someone from the future couldn't have shown you this post 2 years ago when it was all so scary. You and Christian are such an inspiration! Enjoy the snow!

BTW- Matt saw the picture of the Spiderman toy and was mightily impressed (he's a big Spiderman fan). He said, "I like that kid's toy!" LOL.
You have a beautiful little boy - our son was just diagnosed with a severe/profound hearing loss at 19 months, and seeing the video of your son talking at the age of three is wonderful. We have no idea what's in store for our guy... it's amazing to read that Christian has only been hearing for 1.5 years, and gives me a lot of hope.
