We're making Progress!

Wahoo! Christian had his 2nd Hearing Aid appointment yesterday and we are VERY pleased with his progress. I've noticed that he has become alot more attentive to noises, especially some environmental sounds (like the washing machine). He's also noticing my voice more.

He had a booth test yesterday and he was responding consistently to sounds in the 60-65db range, which is AMAZING, given that his loss is in the 80-90 range in both ears. The aids were adjusted accordingly (I think that they increased the gain by 4db). I am SO proud of my little guy. He had a week FULL of doctors appointments: Flu shot on Monday, Renal Bladder Ultrasound on Wednesday, and this appointmnet on Friday) and he is just going with the flow. What a little trooper!

Go, Christian! The doctor's appointments are the pits, but I've heard they ease up after the first year (or after all the syndromes have been ruled out). Sounds like he is doing GREAT, though!
