Christian signing "Bubble" outside.
So, we had a very good day yesterday. Christian was in his PJs most of the day. All three of us were still very tired, so we all napped together, and just really took it easy. We went for a nice walk, and I was so glad that Christian could get out and get some fresh air. He is eating like normal, and is just really bouncing back SO well. We spent an hour or so outside in the afternoon, playing in the front yard with bubbles and Christian's favorite green ball. He really wanted to run, so we had to hold him back a bit.
Our friends and family have made sure that we really haven't had to worry about much this week. My amazing neighbors and friends from Moms Club (who I will call the Margarita Mommas) have dropped off meals and little treats for Christian. My close girlfriends (and adopted family) have made some terrific casseroles. And tonight, Chuck's parents are treating us to a dinner out once Christian goes down. We might just end up at a casual place in Bethesda, and our good friends have invited us over for cocktails on their deck afterwards. We NEED to get out. And this time tomorrow, my folks will be here. I need my Mom and Dad right now. And I am so glad that they will be here.
Today, we are taking it easy once again. We might take Christian to a store or two. His dressing is off now, and I have cleaned his incision site. I want to get him some fresh air today too, so we'll probably take a couple more walks in the park. And, maybe, just maybe, we'll get dressed...

I love the picture! Jammies and tennis shoes. Nothing is better than that!
Enjoy your night out.
Isn't it amazing how fast they bounce back! I'm glad he's doing so well. I can't wait to see his activation!
