The Croup is Crap.

Guess what we woke up to this morning? Christian coughing (more like barking) like a seal. This is my kid who NEVER gets sick. Good thing we were able to make it to the doctors, where both Daddy and son were treated. As a preventative measure, Hopkins was called to be sure he could be treated so soon after surgery (well, it has been almost 3 months) with oral steroids. We got the go ahead with that. Chuck I guess has adult croup, and is on 3 different medications.

So, here I am...taking care of both of my boys. Missing the O.A.R. concert we were supposed to go to (and our friend's little boy's baptism). The croup is crap.

First of all, congrats, on baby number #2! How exciting!!!

Secondly, UGH...2 boys sick in the house and a pregnant mommy...hope you are feeling well!

LOVE the picture of your husband and son in the MD's office! That is priceless!!!

(I feel odd leaving this message, but I seriously feel like I know you as I read this blog daily - I have commented before as I have 2 Deaf sons - also as a result of Connexin 26 mutation!!!)

Thanks Amy! What's your email address? I'd love to pick your brain about some questions I have...

Tina! I had to go back and read much of your blog. You have said so many things that I am feeling, grieving for, etc. Thank you for giving me the hope that someday Courtney will hear music, that she will turn when she hears thunder and that she really has the chance to talk. I can't wait to hear her little voice!

Congratulations on baby #2!

Ugh- croup. We've managed to avoid that one, but had a really nasty case of RSV when Matt was 13 months old. We learned to love the nebulizer (not)!

Hope everyone gets well soon and that you manage to avoid the bug!

I'm sorry your boys are sick!

I just have to say, though, that pic of the two of them on the exam table is just too adorable for words.
