SHHHHHHHH!

No, I'm not telling a secret. I want to scream this from the top of my lungs!

WE'VE GOT the /SH/ SOUND!

Christian has been detecting /sh/ for quite some time, but hasn't been producing it. Finally, today at dinner, while I was pretending to water the plants (using /sh/ for the water sound), I prompted and said "Ok, Christian, your turn".

And wouldn't you know, my little guy did it!

My game plan is to still hold a party when we get /s/. In the meantime, we'll be having /sh/ cupcakes at the Halloween party we're hosting on Friday.

YEAH!

"Christian's Mommy"-

I was also born with Connexin 26 (and 30, actually) mutations and just received bilateral implants a few weeks ago! If you have a free couple of minutes pre-baby #2, my Mom, Kelli, would love to chat with you about all the wonderful milestones Christian has achieved!

Keep up the great work!

Yay for the "SH" sound! I know the "S" sound can be hard for kiddos anyway, but Matt finally said his in isolation when looking at snakes at the zoo (for their hissing sound). Perhaps a visit with some snakes would help (SHUDDER)!

Yea Christian! This is so exciting! I was just as excited yesterday when Aiden responded to the /sh/ sound in the booth test! I know the day is soon to come where he's saying it too!
