Inspiration

*Just wanted to share  a little story to give all of us Warrior Mommas out there a little bit of strength and inspiration*

Once upon a time, there was a little girl (who happened to LOVE to dance) who went into surgery to have her scoliosis fixed. Due to complications in the surgery, her life was forever changed. She woke up paralyzed. Fast forward 21 years later, and this little girl is now a wife and Mommy to two gorgeous girls. In additon to being a dear friend, she's also a source of strength and inspiration. She never lets her physical limitations hold her back. Her insight growing up post-accident has given me strength to deal even on the toughest days with Christian. Her Mom....oh I can go on and on about her Mom...truly is the Warrior of ALL WARRIOR Moms, constantly working, advocating and FIGHTING for her daughter. And my friend, who I shared summers with at a beach house, bottle warmers, nursing war stories, and countless cups of Vanilla Lattes (and pints of Captain and Cokes), will always be one of the most inspirational and amazing women I know. She reminds me that nothing can hold Christian back. Nothing.

Hi, I've really enjoyed catching up on your blog. You seem so genuine and down to earth. Your kids are adorable. It's people like you who got my into creating a blog of my own about my son Alex's cochlear implant story. It's just new but if you're interested and would like to follow here is the link: www.alsears.blogspot.com
Thanks for all the inspiration,
Cathy
