Spring Sports

We're a busy sports family these days. Christian has Tai Kwon Do on Mondays and Wednesdays. Soccer on Fridays, Lacrosse on Saturdays and Swim Lessons on Sundays. The back of my car looks like a locker room and I feel like I'm constantly washing and rinsing water bottles.

In addition to learning the ins and outs of each of his sports, Christian is also learning how to advocate for himself and manage his hearing access. He's now independently changing his program, placing himself in a better position to see coaches and asking team mates to say it louder or speak again. I'm so proud of him.

I can't believe just a few years ago I thought he wouldn't be able to play on a typical team. Look at him now.

I love it! We have t-ball, soccer, and (soon to sign up for) swimming lessons on this end. With two boys, we have an entire dishwasher rack of water bottles, lol!

How is the Tae Kwan Do with regard to head bumps? Nolan's ENT has said no contact sports, but I'm thinking that some of the martial arts might be OK (she's worried about more loss of hearing, but he's already mod-severe and I don't want to limit his life on a guess that it might hurt his hearing).
